Looking for the tall acorn plastic nuts used for securing the upper stainless trim piece that goes between the tail lights on a '66 GS or a Special. This is a restoration, so I would like to have originals in good shape. The one I have appears to be tan in color. I believe the lower trim nuts are different and gray in color. Need 6, but will entertain what you have, thx.

FWIW... I just re-installed my factory trim on my 1964 Special and those nuts are the same ones used on the very last 3 fasteners on the "spear tips" at the end of the side trim. The rest of the trim snaps on. These nuts are unthreaded and work on sheet metal type threads as well as 1/4 -20 (10-24?). Maybe this can help narrow your search? Look in "car part outs" below. Several mid 60's cars with trim available. ws

I'm 99% sure AMES sells them. I remember buying them from them before for one of my GTO's. Used on the trunk emblems or the trunk tail chrome...64-65-66-67? Yeah...GTO catalog...J101L Tan, then some black covers L161DJ, probably more. Bill, I think they might have a special tool for those clips, too.

Wow, that J101L certainly does look like the part. I'm going to order them and hope they're the same! Thanks for the info!
