I am going to go look at the car for myself today. I may end up buying it . The vin the seller gave me is correct for a GS. If anybody notices anything out of place in these pictures please let me know.

i am new to this, but my air cleaner opens to the drivers side where this one opens to the pass side. what is the diff?
In '66, some engines were equipped with smog pumps, so the snorkel is on the right (passenger) side. That's the theory, anyway.
Congrats Mike I guess I shot myself in the foot by posting it here. I should have looked at it before posting the link and probably would have bought it myself. Anyway enjoy the car looks like you got a screaming deal.
If it makes you feel any better, Mike asked me about it before your post, so he was on it early. Asked me to get my brother in law (Ray)to take a look see to see if it was legit. You got to get up pretty early in the morning to beat 'ol Dadphelps (Mike) to these deals, he's got a hair trigger for a good one. He has been looking pretty hard for a 66 or 67.
Didn't mean to imply I felt upset about someone else getting the car since I posted a link to it here in a public forum. I'm happy someone got the car that will enjoy it.
