ok got some ambition and want to redo the frame. As I start scraping the frame I start thinking what is with all this undercoating on the frame. Is the undercoating from the factory just sloppy finishing or is the frame supposed to be covered with undercoating and then painted? Thanks Scott
Frames generally weren't undercoated at the factory. Floorboards are sometimes undercoated....Baltimore built cars were, Fremont built cars weren't. Your car may have been undercoated by Ziebart or a similar outfit.
