Here is the link. http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/ctd/970212164.html Looks like a good deal to me.
All the good buys are in Portland! There was a red 66 GS 4 sale there about 2 months ago for $3k. I wonder if this is the same car?
He did buy the car in Sisters, Oregon. Not sure how long ago, but I'm positive it is the same car. I purchased my gs from the same guy. His name is Floyd and he has a lot of 66 Buick parts. He has always been honest with me and my car was better than described.
Floyd is a decent guy but he is a car dealer. the pictures he sent me showed heavy bondo cracking and falling out where the sail panel meets the quarter panel on the side not pictured. looks like the car took a heavy hit at some point in time.
I purchased my car prior to him venturing into the car dealer business. Anyway, it still is a numbers matching gs and I've seen people start with much worse. Someone will have to have it.
Ha! I do remember the ad saying it was his sisters' car...asking price was 3000, if I remember correctly. Does Floyd have any other 66 GS'S? ....just curious....really!
walt he has a badly rusted and picked over 66 GS hardtop, in his personal collection he has a 66 skylark convertible and a 66 skylark hardtop thats being converted to dual quad 455 with 4 speed. i think he still has the 69 special post coupe with straight 6.
