Help! Carelessness in a parking garage has crumpled the front left of my precious 66 GS. Diagnosis at the Buick hospital has confirmed that I need only a left fender and, if available, the mounting bracket that attaches to the headlamp bezel and secures it to the radiator support bracket. Clean rust free fender needing very little or no body work only please.

Someone must have these two parts... or know someone who does. Please help. I just got it back from the engine shop several weeks ago and, to protect it, decided to use the parking garage rather than the street!
    Thanks,
    Tom

Tom I do not think I have a good drivers fender but have a number of bezel brackets. If you do not get one with the fender I will sell a pair for $20.00 plus shipping. Just asking was you damaged fender a good rust free one on the bottom. If it was it is worth keeping for the lower part and complete inner brace for a patch panel for another fender. I will look at the fenders I have but think they are not that good. Thanks Bill.

    Old Fender

I had been thinking the same thing. The old fender was rust free and is still undamaged at the "heel" where most of them go bad. If I can't come up with a good replacement, I can look for one that's rusty towards the back and bottom (behind the wheel) and patch in from my old one.

The fender is destroyed at the nose and buckled at a few spots but for the most part, the rear 2/3 of the fender is fine. Luckily no damage to ANY brightwork or the hood.

I'll take a pair of the brackets if you have them. email me at tjk1947@aol.com as to your mailing address, price etc. and I will get back to you.
    Thanks for your reply.

Tom thanks for the reply. I went out and looked at my extra drivers fenders. As I said I did not think I have a nice one. Here is what I have. Nice front cut off with complete upper inner brace. Not rusted one with some dammage to front not bad but not sure you would want to fix. One that appears to be rust free and no front dammage but some mud in the middle over the wheel well. It is on the car and can not tell for sure. Let me know if you want pictures of any. I will send this in an email also. Thanks Bill.
