    Hey All,
This is a wierd one...I had a poor engine but good transmission, I pulled both and rebuilt the engine and replaced front/rear seals w/ new filter nothing else touched in tranny, now I have great motor but trans will not upshift at any rpm. 1st and reverse are fine with no slop. governor inspected OK, vac modulator replaced vacuum source good with no leaks, engine rebuild was very mild has very good vacuum.
switch pitch and kickdown solonoid can be heard to function when energized.
    Any Thoughts

I had to drag the car on a tow bar 120+ miles when the engine went soft...
I did NOT remove the driveshaft, could that have done something?

The reason to remove the driveshaft is to avoid trans damage when towing on the drive wheels. Transmission internals turn, but there is no oil pressure because the trans oil pump is not turning.

    yep... chunkies in the pan

swapped trans for another 300, will have to rebuild a 400 to keep it together
