I've never seen 66 SPECIAL with wheel opening molding, but I could be wrong too. I have seen plenty of 66 Skylark wheel opening moldings, they meet the trim going back the side of the car. The WOM on a 66 do not come/go all the way to the bottom of the fender or quarter panel because as stated they meet the Skylark trim going from the front fender to the rear bumper. The 67 Special could have WOM that go to the botom, as did the 67 GS. But the 66,,,I don't think so. 67 trim may fit 66 but they are very hard to find and usually expensive. Good Luck, Mike
I may have what you are looking for.I know it is from a 66 and it is for the front wheel openings.There is a wide piece that goes from the front bumper along the bottom of the fender to the wheel opening and turns into a thin piece that goes around.I can take some pics if you think it is what you need.
A lot of you would kick my butt for this one, but I drive a sweet 67 Special 2D/HT. Anyway, long story short in our last move, I left behind most all of the trim because i'm not a chrome nut, and this car is a daily driver, but weekend muscle on the strip if I ever get it done. If you want, contact me and I will point you to the person who has my old place, and probebly has the old parts. Also the orig rear end is there, as I went to a posi, also front end parts as I went to discs. Let me know Wil PS My Special did "not" come with the wheel chrome, I dont think the Specials had it.
