I'm reluctantly going to post my 66 wildcat GS for sale. The car is what i'd call a driver. I bought it quite a few years ago from the grandson of the original owner here on the board. I reassembled the car and got it running right and then put a home paint job on it in my garage. The running gear is rock solid, I've driven it to Bowling Green twice and drive to work regularly in the summer when the weather is nice. Its a pretty low option car, no air conditioning, power windows, AM FM , power antennae and thats it. I'm going to put 13.5K as an asking price the car is located in Laconia Nh. The car is presently put away for the winter and getting it out for an interested buyer might be tough but as I figure it may take a while to find an interested party so I'll post this ad now and I'll keep it active until i can move the car to its next owner. I'll add a couple pictures I do have more that i would be glad to send to interested parties. DSC00578.jpg wildcat GS_NATS_OCT2012 1288.jpg

Actually, it looks like the only things not on it are a/c and power seat?
It has the bucket seats with long console & long shifter. Nice Custom series interior. There aren't a whole lot of them out there with the buckets & console, which were options. The bench seat with column shifter is way more common.
Good looking car and good luck with the sale!

Herb, the car is very solid, I patched the passenger side behind the rear wheel when i painted it , it should probably get a matching patch on the drivers side. (I ran out of time when was doing the work, I needed to get it back to gather and into storage for the winter before i went back to sea.)there is one small spot that needs attention on the passenger side rocker about the size of a dime that also could use some attention as well. To be honest it needs a paint job to be really nice, I drive it so I have held off putting nice paint on it. I had the car in BG when you and I met a couple years ago, maybe you remember it? The interior is nice as well, under hood looks presentable. If you'd like to come take a look i can make arrangements to get us into the storage building and you can have an in person look at it. If you want a second opinion Ask Sean Larose at Paintworks, he knows the car; Bill Burton has looked it over at BG and could give you his opinion as well. I'll Pm you my number and we can discuss the car.

The car is the original colors, Burgandy mist with parchment interior. I would have to get into the storage building to get all the numbers for you but i went through them when i first got the car and as far as i could tell its all correct. Here is a shot of the under hood for those that were asking. wildcat underhood.jpg

I think it's a great car at a very realistic price. When is the last time anyone here on the board has seen a 66 Wildcat GS up for sale?? It's been quite a while, and I watch for these.

Thought about buying this car way back when it was a project, Tom rescued it from the kid that was screwing it up!Nice save Tom.
Talked to Tom about buying it a couple times, but timing/distance,etc. kept me from buying. If I had empty garage space and a full wallet, I would still like to have it, but again, always the timing is wrong.

Good luck with the sale Tom, hang tough, don't give it away, tell them to go find one as nice or better for the same money, they won't find it.

The term "rare" gets thrown around a lot in this hobby. It holds true for these cars.

Dang, dang, dang...yet another bucket list car that is out of my price range!
It's a great deal in US $ but I'm here in Canada with a worthless dollar, moribund economy with a couple of spendthrift governments looking to make it even worse, so it's out of my price range!

Good luck with the sale; - I wish it would be to me, but it would cost me $22,000 CDN to do it, and I just can't...(sob!):ball:

Ok gents I've sent pictures to Tom Mooney and Kelly. I had to reduce the file size to get them to go out, the original files were too big to go out on my weak email service.
I'll agree with Tom Miller, you don't see these often, I've only seen one other in person. They might come up for sale once or twice a year. I really like this car but due to unforeseen circumstances i'm going to have to let it go i've priced it pretty low and i hope some one here can make a good home for it.

wow you are fast you changed depressed to shoreside faster than i could get a reply in. To answer your question I retired Jan of 2014 and had no plans to go back to sea …. I also had planned to keep this car but unfortunately life throws us a curveball every now and then. I'm in Laconia now and will be here for the foreseeable future.

I should add that to the best of my limited knowledge this car is all original. I checked everything when i first got it ( 11-12 years ago)and everything seemed to be correct, carb, distributor, trans , engine. I never found numbers on the rear but i doubt it was ever out. I didn't verify any date codes. I can't quote numbers from memory and before anyone came to look at the car i would have to get into the storage building and get the numbers for them so they could be satisfied that I am correct in asserting that its is still running the original pieces. The car has 86-87K miles on it. I have the protecto plate, and a chunk of the build sheet.
