How did it come from the factory????Any one know if the underside of the hood on the 66 WILDCAT is supposed to be painted the same color as the outside or is it black? Also, the trunk floor, splatter paint or same color as outside color? Thanks
1966 Wildcat Custom convertible (46667) built in 10/65 at the Kansas City plant: Hood is body color. Trunk is body color. I think it depends on the plant were it was built.
The underside of the trunk lid is body color, but the inside of the trunk itself is splatter. My 66 Wildcat underhood was black.
Bic, Take a look at where is was built, I'm pretty sure the practice changed from plant to plant. Also, check the build date. That may have something to do with it. Let us know and we may be able to determine what finish it should have.
