am about to repaint my hood...is the center molding held in place with barrel clips...and what about the Buick name on the front...want to know before I attempt to remove them.
You need to take out the hood insulation to get to all the the center spear nuts. There will be holes in the inside bracing for the letters. If you need pics I'll post them. Ray
First pic is where the letter nuts are from the back side. Use a 5/16's socket. 2nd pic the rear 4 for the spear. For 3 of them you need the insulation out. The very rear one is assessable. 3rd pic is the front 2 and the 4th pic is the 3rd and 4rth nut from the front. A total of 8 nuts. Nut size is 3/8's.
