I have a friend who is getting a divorce and he must liquidate...he has a nice GS340. He came to me asking what it's present value would be. What do these things normally go for? Figure 100,000 miles, decent runner...OK original paint (white), no rust that I can recall (at least no visible rust).
    Any thoughts?

    Thanks! :TU:

Check the bottom of the quarter panels for rust, if you find any it's not worht much. In good shape you can see 1-4k for them depending on options and coditions. Any pics?

(EDIT: Ignore my overly low estimate please, for some reason I read GS340 and though Buick Special. Brain not well. I think 9k is High though, as a 20-footer I'd say 4-6k.)

    Wow!!!

This is not what he may get for the car but it is a good representation.

    OldCarTrader.com says:

    Original MSRP: $2,845

Low Retail Average Retail High Retail
    $4,125 $9,450 $14,900

    Low Retail Value:
This vehicle would be in mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning. The exterior paint, trim, and interior would show normal wear, needing only minor reconditioning. May also be a deteriorated restoration or a very poor amateur restoration. Most usable "as-is".

Note: This value does not represent a "parts car".

    Average Retail Value:
This vehicle would be in good condition overall. It could be an older restoration or a well-maintained original vehicle. Completely operable. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. A "20-footer".

    High Retail Value:
This vehicle would be in excellent condition overall. It could be a completely restored or an extremely well maintained original vehicle showing very minimal wear. The exterior paint, trim, and mechanics are not in need of reconditioning. The interior would be in excellent condition. Note: This value does not represent a "100 Point" or "# 1" vehicle *.
    * "100 Point" or "# 1" vehicle is not driven. It would generally be in a museum or transported in an enclosed trailer to concourse judging and car shows. This type of car would be stored in a climate-regulated facility.

    Gs 340

I bought one of these new in 67 and the MSRP was 3050. It had about all options except AC. I sold it in 1990 for 3500. with 60,000 miles and still all orginal but needing a freshening up. Anyone selling one that is not a rust bucket, I'm interested.
    Thanks

    Right Air Cleaner!

I bought mine in the spring of 1967, actually it was the first one that came to the dealership, and it had that exact air cleaner. All I have seen have had it unless some one grabbed it. I have seen that happen at dealerships, some one working there has a similar car with a stock type cleaner and switches it before the car is sold.
    My 2 cents.

Bob, I sent you a bunch of pics tonight to your email. Just let me know.

George, I am not sure what he wants out of it, he was asking me if I had any idea on a value - naturally I thought to ask here. If you would like to see more pictures just say the word. I think I still have your email adress from when I bought your rockers.

Jim Netherland, if you would like to see anymore pictures, please shoot me a direct email (address in signature) with your email address.

    Thanks you again! :TU:

    air cleaner

Was your's a GS 340? If it happened to be a California GS, they had the regular air cleaner. As stated the air cleaner pictured is 100 % correct.
