    George,
I wouldn't worry about what people say about your car. To me it looks like you made an up-dated version of a street rod with ba**s. It has very clean lines and looks good. Sometimes people modify too much and the cars end up looking funny, but this is not the case here.
You should have seen the responses I got when I first put together the X-Camino and brought it to the 98 or 99 BCA Nationals in Columbus. Many of the then ultra-conservative members were bickering about modified cars, and here I am bringing this into the middle of a War that I knew nothing about. I came real close to leaving immediately. (Some friends talked me out of it.) Even after people knew that I used parts from 6 rotted out cars to build it, some people were still mad that I took usable parts and built something other then an original car.

Roberta wanted me to do an article for the BCA's newsletter "The Bugle". She said the club needed to see how nice modified cars could look. Even with that, I still took a few years to agonize over it before I submitted the article.

I am one of the most "original" type people anyone is likely to ever meet, but I think there is room for everything, from full race to pristine examples of restored cars.

I would like to see your car in The Bugle. I think a Modified car of this caliper belongs there.

Enjoy and be proud of what you have built.

Just a case about this car that tells you just how nice it is....the guy I did the Fairlane for last year, he also has a 1960 Starliner that is to be done, everytime I get a magazine with a rodder clean Starliner in it I call him and tell him or I just take him my mag, he knows about my 66, well he calls me about 3 weeks ago and says..... do you get PHB mag?....he said if not go get it, there is a wicked 67 in there, he started telling me about the car and I said hold up, does it belong to some guy named George from NY?....he read there a bit and said, yeah, thats it.....when a FORD guy takes notice of a GM product....trust me, you've done very well!

Hey, what can you say, I mean just the avatar itself proves that your car is worth all the compliments it recieves. If I were to give it a grade on a scale from 1-10, It would be a 10. The car proves it all that it couldn't have a better owner.
