Claims to be a SCO car but doesn't have a pic of the cowl tag. At any rate, i'm glad there is only one this color. Looks like a real nice car though.........http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1967...6403744?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item3a80a50da0
I saw it to. Don't know if its a original factory shade but it is a uncommon color. Looks like a nice car. Starting bid is $25k so it will be interesting to see the activity.
"" 1967 buick skylark gs 400 one of one ,this car has a special factory ordered paint sco bagota green "" Am I missing something? That car looks to be smurf Blue, their making such a big deal out of the sco paint then they change colors or is that car some how green and I need a new monitor for my laptop? My 66 parts car is smurf blue must have been popular back then. Its one nice looking 67 GS no matter what color it is.
nah, looks like a wierd Blue color to me as well. I always thought "Smurf" blue was a D-code or Sapphire Blue which I had on the '67.
The Mustang looks good in that color. I don't think it's the color so much that I don't care for, it's the combination. The red line tires especially look horrible with it, love them on other cars though. And the black top and interior just don't look good with it either. Just think how great it would look if it was all black! Or maybe silver w/ the black. Or ANY other color!o No:
Not sure about that color ... his white balance may have been off a bit with his digital camera . But I think it is a early Mustang color . It looks like a very nice car but a starting price for a '67 at $25K seems a bit steep . It will be interesting to see if it can fetch that price . Interesting story though . Not to be nasty but if it's really as nice as it looks I think I'd be in for it at $21K but I'd like to see the tag . It may in fact be worth more than that but that's all I would spend ( and I bet it will get more than that ) .
Nick, The Cowl tag pic is there, Its the last pic he posted. One of one is pretty rare. I wouldn't have a problem driving around with that color combo. Looks like a clean resto. Chris
I think the tail light bezels are painted silver. And the trim tag picture was added, check the revisions tag on the auction, I know it wasn't there this morning when I first saw it. Mike
I thing he saved about $550. on the rechrome of the tail lights and about $1500. on the frame. Nice car.
I bet it would be more than $500 on the taillights. If they are pitted doing a correct repair & plate of pot metal is EXPENSIVE. Interesting enough the current OPGI Skylark catalog has a 67GS they restored and the taillight bezels are painted black like the trunk trim. May not be stock but it does look really nice.
