A swath of aluminum (coupe/hardtop) or stainless (convertible) reveal molding along and on top of the doors and which extends on top of the back quarter beside the window glass (total of 4 pieces) is shown in many pictures of 67 GSs. And as many 67 GSs are pictured without this molding. Was this reveal molding an option? Standard equipment which has been lost in the many restorations? An aftermarket add-on? Would like to know! Thanks!

    few questions:

    Are they reproduced?

If they are for hardtop and conv or both?

What is the best vendor and has anyone installed them?

    Are they SS or alu?

Do they have the outer window fuzze attached?

    Thanks Bill.

Nick: in line 1st dibs. condition? $? pix? Bill,Was puzzled by this because have a 67 GTO and it (and every 67 GTO I've ever seen) has these door beltline reveal moldings. Could not understand whyall of our GSs(which are Buicks and hence, higher up the GM corpoprate foodchain)did not have them . They are reproduced. Ames and Performance Years carry them. Stainless for convertibles and anodized aluminum for hardtops. The difference between the two vendors is that Performance Years offers a "perfect"set for $30.00 more than the "regular" set. Spoke w/"Mike"at Performance Years and he explained that they get lot orders of these in at one time. Quality control being what it is at the point of overseas manufacture, many have some dings or creases. They pick out the best sets and sell them for a few $ more than the imperfect sets. Ames offers only the sets...period.... with a disclaimer about imperfections to be expected. Archie

Oh,one more thing:they do not come w/fuzzies attached. Sold separately. And fuzzies for a Tempest will not fit a GTO although they are both A-bodies. Archie

Some 442s have this as an option. I have seen just a few. Most do not. Here is one of ours that does have it.

It runs along the top of the doors and the base of the front door side windows. They extend to the base of the rear windows. They are anodized aluminum and an option.

Yep, my sons Cutlass has them. It has been said in the posts above, but I will say it differently. The hardtop models had aluminum from the factory, the convertibles had stainless from the factory, that's just how GM did it. A guess about the differences would be "the convertibles have stainless trim around the top well so they made the trim for them the belt line the same because they join", the hardtops do not join anything so they used aluminum. I believe the repro ones do the same, aluminum for hardtops and SS for 'verts.
