Need the rod between the pedal and the master cylinder.
Manual dual master cylinder, 1967 model Special or Skylark.

    Thanks

Ted, the rod is the same whether it's power or manual brakes.
It just clips into different holes on your brake pedal arm.
    - For power brakes, hook it in the bottom hole
    - For manual brakes, hook it in the top hole for more leverage.

If you still need a rod regardless, let me know, I should have a few laying around.

    I found my old one!
Does the rubber seal bit mount from the engine side of the firewall?
My notes are still lost :Dou:

Insert the rod from the engine side of the
firewall. Seal will cover the firewall hole.

    Thanks George
A quick check of the Service Manual has helped since all the pictures show the seal with the master cylinder as an assembly.
Another question! I am replacing the firewall insulation. It looks like it gets put in before anything else and the brake pedal assembly bolts through the firewall go through the insulation too. Like the heater box, the insulation is between the box's flange and the firewall, right?

You are correct. Be careful with the new plastic retainers. They seem to be a slightly larger size than originals and they will take "some effort" to push thru the firewall.
