I have a 67 special deluxe with dark blue interior. What is the paint code for the car. I couldnt reference it at a local paint supplier (PPG). They apparently dont go back that far, but I know thats bull. So can any of you guys help me out?o No:

All Im seeing on my tag is an F for the exterior color, Saphire blue. I would assume that the interior is the midnight blue, but you know what they say about assuming!:rant:
Jason, Interior paint codes are hard to come by. It's not on the cowl data plate, that will only tell you what color the interior is (ie black vs blue). Some paint manufacturers listed interior colors on their color chip charts. Dupont had real nice charts that had color chips for both the exterior and interior colors. They're about 10 pages, and cover all GM makes. I have them for 1965 and 1966, but not 67. Either call a DuPont dealer, or find some charts at a swap meet or eBay. BUT...it's possible the old codes will be worthless, and can't be matched with todays formulas anyway. In that case your best bet would be to take a sample and have them match it up. If you have a glove box door or ash tray with the original paint on it, that would be perfect.
Ya know, Im not thinking clearly! Im in good graces with the body shop I used to work for, DUHH! They have an entire database of all colors from the teens to now. IM AN IDIOT! Thanks for the replies though. Ill just go bang my head a little bit more.ou:
