Yes, and yes not a GS. I have the 12” converter in it, stalls at 3500 instead of the stock 13” 2600

By any chance do you remember your mph at 14.40?

Also I’m just curious Briz, how do you cut weight out of these cars?

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

Start with easy things. Cigarette lighter, radio knobs, valve caps... :D

Sometimes when I punch it, the clock knob ejects itself:D

Depends on what your goals are for the car. Do you want a nice classic comfortable cruiser that can get out of its way but not a street beast or do you want a big full size track monster thats barely streetable
My car is fully dressed and when I ran it last at Bowling green she had 1/2 tank of gas and all the stuff in the trunk. Her best time was couple gals of fuel and nothing in the trunk. A/C, seats, door panels, mechanical fan, power steering all add weight but make the car so much nicer to drive everyday. Know what I mean?

There were a few who mentioned a B4B intake..
40 lbs weight savings?? and would it be worth another .15 with the cam and shorty's plus a tad more compression with the thinner head gaskets?
Only mentioning the B4B as i'm sure there's more used one's available than a TA for his budget.

Alrighty, thank you for all the input everyone, as usual, always very helpful. Couldn’t do this without it

I’m back at school until my birthday, so three more weeks and then we will be back at it

    My next list:
    1. Check diff fluid ✅ can still see through it
    2. Remflex? ✅ No not yet
    3. Burn the crap off the strip tires

John, have you or anyone weighed your Riv's, or just going by factory rated stats?
I'm thinking 4500lbs even without a driver is on the lighter side of true.

It rolled over the scale at Lebanon, driving myself, bouncing between 4515 and 4520, after a pass with a half tank of gas. With the full exhaust I'm guessing closer to 4550 now. So currently without me, estimated at 4375

Huh?? Still seems kinda light to me..
    Did you strip any insulation?

    Has full interior, no spare

I’m running out of things that are supposed to be lightened. I don’t know, it just is

My 73 Riv was over 5000lbs.. I know total different car with a full perimeter frame and those huge 5 mph bumper's.
Still though yours is a beast with that long hood and doors and it's strange it's only a little heavier than the 63 to 65's..
Like you said it is what it is:) My frame on my 66GS got so rusted i'm sure I lost 500 lbs without even trying:D

    Adding to the list:
    4. Fix the choke, because the fast idle cam is STILL not engaging correctly (probably something I didn't set up right, since the car never kicks up to fast idle on a cold start, even though the choke flap slams closed)
    ✅fixed
    5. Switch the trunk light and license plate bulbs, because one works on one doesn’t, so if I switch bulbs I know it’s not a brand new dead bulb —->unless it only turns on when I turn on my headlights, then I’m confused but it makes sense

Ok well my carb just exploded gasoline all over my engine, bringing itself and the car to a halt on the top of a local mountain. Limped it back home by two footing it after giving the carb a half-rebuild on a busy hill.

Dissecting it now, not pleased is an understatement

    How does that happen?

Float seemingly stuck, I was attempting some heavy throttle uphill and then the engine stopped wanting to tick over
