I'm rebuilding my '67 Riv trans. I buy these rebuild kits bulk and they always come with the more common but wrong tailhousing bushing/seal. Instead of the common 2" yoke, the Riv has a 1.687" yoke. No problem finding the seal, but it seems the bushing is discontinued by FM, PTC, ATP and everyone else. Is there any reason that I couldn't change the Riv front yoke to the more common 70s size, along with the tailhousing to get rid of this problem for good? Anyone else run into this?

Update. Just as I was about to switch over the the larger dia yoke and tailhousing, I discovered that DACCO stocks the smaller bushing. Their part number is 4008. Advance and Auto Zone were trying to sell me a TH350 size bushing, which is too small. Their listings are plain wrong.
