Is the tee that mounts to the rearend cover part of the brake hose or does the hose thread into it? At opg they have a pontiac piece that appears to be one unit, tee and hose. In the skylark section they list a seperate tee and a seperate hydralic brake hose. Can anyone tell me what I need to order to connect the main brake line to the 2 rear axel lines on my 67 skylark? :Do No:
Its always the smallest things that are the biggest pain in the :moonu:

    Thanks, Brad.

    Hi Brad,
I went through that same thing. I tried to unscrew the hose from the T
and it broke- its one peice. I just ordered one from the local parts house and it came in correct for cheap. I bought one from Garrison just to make sure though!

Thanks Ted. I tried to unscrew it also. I tried napa but they say it is no longer available. I will check some other places though. It does olook like the pontiac piece would work though. Brad.

    Hose

Napa should have them but I had to take mine in and have them match it. Seems the lines(fittings) on the axle housing are smaller than on other a-bodies so it doesn't interchange easily.

I'll just put a plug in for my local parts place- they will go to the books if its not in the system. Gotta love the old school stuff.

Brad if you cannot find what you need give me a call and come out. I should be able to find one or at least get a part number for one. I bought one for may 66 a few years ago. The 65/6/7 need to be longer because of the rear spring travel. Thanks Bill.

The 65-66 does use a junction block on the rear, unlike the 67's.
    1967 also used a larger diameter 1/4" front-to-rear brake line. 65-66 was 3/16"

I looked the 1967 brake hoses up online:
    www.raybestos.com shows # BH36569 for the rear of a 1967 Skylark.
    www.partsamerica.com has it for $51 :eek2:
    www.napaonline has a (non-Raybestos) for $30. :TU:
www.rightstuffdetailing.com has em too....Got one with my '66 line set :error:

65-66 hoses are #BH36005 and are $32 and $19 respectively.

Walt thanks for the good info.

Brad, check Rock Auto on line, they have both listed under skylark, and the raybestos is about $23.00 for the 67 number. and $18.00 for the 66 number. I did look and I have a new of either, not raybestos, if you are in a hurry give me a call. Thanks Bill.

Thanks neveryone, I did end up ordering 1. napa said the 67 was discontinued, Good question about the 8.5 in a 67, I almost went that way but stuck with the 8.2 instead. Its only a street car and will never see the strip. Brad.
