I just picked up a 67 skylark on 7/26/04 when detailing it last night noticed the carpet was pretty damp in the front passenger side floor, took up the carpet and the pad was pretty damp, took it out so it could dry looking for help on determing what ,where, and how its leaking , thanks for your support Randy
If it is water only, then your front windshield might be leaking. This requires it to be removed, patch up any holes, and reinstalled. Has it been parked outside (in the rain)? If you smell "maple syrup", then you might have a leaking heater core. -Bob Cunningham
Bob actully has been stored inside a garage I am thinking that it was washed before it was sold, no leaking heater core it for sure does not smell like antifreeze I checked up close to the heater core it it was okay, it smells moldy, the floor has no holes or it in not rusted, I probley will have to run the hose over it and check it out
ok thats what i figured, take the pass. side kick panel off and pour water down into the cowl grille i bet is coming from the pass. side kick panel, you will need to re-seal the peice that`s around that duct, very common issue on A/C cars. Thanks
No,the kick panel is the peice to the right of your feet if your sitting on the pass. side, its under the dash to the right, just sit in the pass. seat and strecth your legs all the way out, then look to the right of your toe thats the kick panel. Thanks
