you mean the switch pitch thingy (real technical term there) that hooks to the carb?

I have an extra one I'd let go for $35 shipped, if someone knows how I can bench test it I will.

I don't know of a way to bench test them, but as long as all the plugs are in good shape and the plastic shaft is not cracked/broken and the metal hook at the end of the shaft is intact I'll take it. Do you have the retainer clip that holds it to the arm of the carb? and the other clip that holds the back end to the intake manifold? The previous owner of this Skylark had no idea how to take care of cars.
If you can take a pic so we can be sure its the right part I would really appreciate it!

    Thank you

I'll have to see if I have any of the other parts, this came with a manifold I bought and they'd cut the wire that runs from the S/P to the trans. I should have the bracket or clip that attaches the end to the manifold though, and possibly the clip that holds it to the carb. I've got a couple other things I need to dig out of the garage later today, I'll see what I find for you.

    Wheelz,

of the two in the pic. the lower one will not work. It looks like a '65?
The upper one looks more like it but hard to tell from the shadow. Is that the one that has the broken tab? Let me know

I would like the retainer clips, both the one that clips to the carb and the one that clips to the manifold and the dual wire that runs to the tranny if its in good working order.

    Thank you,

Bill, what do you have? let me know.

    Cheers,

Todd..CORRECT you are! The bottom switch is marked 65~300... the top switch is marked 67~BBB...
That is a "HAT SNAP RETAINER" and the 400/430 manifold mounting bracket with the 'retaining CLIP' is still attached.
I cannot locate a 'harness' for the 67 switch.

As far as the aforementioned broken wire... on the lower 65 switch, the wire broke off at the soldered connector joint on the switch, so nothing is really 'busted'.

How about $35 shipped for the 67 switch assembly?

    interested?

    question,

I have a '67 BBB switch and have "had" a '67 SBB switch. they are different sizes are they not?
I compared them and the small block has a smaller housing and is shorter. Or do I have one from another year?

    What do you think?

My parts book shows the same part number (1375966 for the plunger switch next to the carb) fits all ST300/ST400 from 1966 to 1967. Looks like this ad reflects that: http://classicnosparts.com/products...tic-th-400-transmission-kick-down-switch-nos/

I have seen some shorter switches; one I remember was for a '64 or earlier application that I believe had only detent function, no stator function (trans would have been a fixed pitch).

    OK Wheelz,

I'll take the '67 assembly please. Please include the HAT SNAP RETAINER, and the retainer clip to the manifold. If you find that wire, it would be great.

PM me with your address please, then I"ll send you out a MO.

    Thank you,

Bill, I'm still interested in another one of these. I need more than one good one. So if you can get me a pic for me I'll still be interested.

    Thank you,
