Ok, I pulled out about a pound of black sticky goo from the tank. Tried to run the stuff through the carb, wouldn't flow! So now I need a new sending unit. Anybody out there with a nice shiny new one or nice used one? ted
Cats were a 6000 series car in 67 I believe. Group 3.107 67 -68 6000-8000 series (Wildcats and Electras ) #6427509 Plus some 67-68 5000 series cars as follows: LeSabre and LeSabre Customs for 67-68 use the same part number sending unit if they have the return fuel line set up. Some do not. Ted if all else fails there is a service that rebuilds the original unit.
