Well here are some pictures of the sample repro grill that The Parts Place is doing for us 67 GS owners. It is nice. I went to the yard and test fit it in a 67 special with my stainless installed. It looks great. Enjoy and be thankful!

George this proto was argent silver and black in the grill area. It has the braces and alignment pins with the correct lenght studs. They are the hex studs as the grills came with a couple of other styles but these you can use a wrench to hold while tighten the nuts on the studs. I am going to send the grill to Bill to compare to his NOS 67 grill for the paint match.

I think it is as good or better than the original.

Picture from the top. This has the short stud in it but will have the longer one as required.

Whack it and see if it is as brittle as the original pieces of **** like the one on my car. Stick it in the oven for a few hours and see if it warps like the piece of **** on my 67.

Just kidding . WOW!! I love the looks of it. I do hope it is tough and holds it's shape. I also hope I can afford it!!

I can call TPP and see if they want me put it in the oven for an hour at 175 degrees or drop it but the alignment pins may break. Its a solid grill with the metal supports like the original grill.

If you pre order you can save some cash like on the 70 grills. It will be painted &includes studs for the intro price of 479.00 and then I think it jumps to 629.00 when they get them in stock. No charge until they ship it. :TU:

I should have used the screws to hold the headlight bezels in place but I was in a hurry to get some other parts for the yard.

Thanks Ed - are you saying the wide gap to the headlight bezel is because they were loose? Seems like the gap should be less.

Bill Thats the car the grill I got for you came out of. The grill you have had about the same space between the bezels and grill. I did not have the bezels screwed in as you can see from the pics. I am very happy with the space in the bezels.
