I've had an ongoing problem with my battery not being fully charged so I decided to check out the wiring to the alternator.I found that the blue #16 wire to the "F" terminal had several breaks in the insulation(probably grounding) so I replaced it.The white wire connects to the "R" terminal and the #10 red wire is the "battery" wire. My question is ...is there supposed to be a wire running from the "ground" terminal, and if so where does it ground? The previous owner had quite a few splices and cap connectors in this area.Any help will be appreciated. John
If your talking about the ground terminal on the alternator, then, no, it's internally case grounded and seeks it's ground through the mounting bracket and engine block.
