my headlight bezel retaining clips have had 8/32 screws shot thru them now they're all reamed out...[previous owner] Needless to say i cannot mount them yet until i find something that will work. Are there any other cars that use the same style clips..I thought i would be able to get away with rigging somthing up with headlight retainers but the screws are even larger than the 8/32's and wont fit into the bezel..Maybe i can drill the bezel holes out more. I'd like to find proper replacements first.. I've been looking for theese all week.
I'm losing you. What is a bezel retaining clip?? o No: Do you mean the studs that the screws screw into behind the bezel to hold the bezel on? Or are you talking about the headlight retaining rings that hold the headlights on before you mount the bezels?
If you are talking about the plastic grommets the bezel screws screw into. These are still available from GM!!! Don'y buy any off ebay.. They always want like 25 bucks for the 8 pieces. They are $1.02 at GMPartsDirect.com Part Number 1385235
Yes thank you very much... I stopped by 4 gm dealers this week alone. Pontiac , chevy ,and buick dealers they all looked puzzled. I was almost positive they still had theese in packaging cuz i remember seeing them in a gm stamped plastic baggy just 6 months ago for a malibu/chevelle. Almost the same part just the stud is a little shorter and white..for chevy's that is.
