68-69 Poston rear spoiler

I am looking for a rear spoiler that Poston made some years ago for the 68-69 Skylark/GS. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A friend of mine sent me pics the other day saying he's got a GSX rear spoiler that doesn't fit his trunk lid. So I asked him to send me pics after I sent him pics of spoiler I have here.

His has some differences compared to mine here. Example pedestal are not molded as part of the spoiler. Also surface of mounting points doesnt have notch for deck lid body line for 70'-72' have. Also he says it's very light.

So my guts thinking it may be one that your looking for.

He's asking $350 plus shipping.

 

The ends look like 70-72 to me. The 68-69 should have a curve to follow the body line.

^^ Careful there Mike - I think Eldon made that one custom (since he couldnt source one) and he works @ a body shop. He had a previous stepchild that wore a Poston one though .. I'll ping him on FB and ask him to respond here

 

So that is Eldon's old car? How about this one, looks about the same.

 

Eldon made his from a 70-72 spoiler. He had a 68-69 years before and I would assume he made the one for the white car as close to the Poston spoiler as he could remember. The one he made turned out really well but took an awful lot of mods to make it fit.

 

The white car pictured is not his. Looks really close but isn't his car.

 

So does that make the spoiler on it a Poston version?

 

Yea, that's what they looked like. They have the curve that follows the body line.

 

I wonder... someone has to have the mold, you would think. Didn't someone buy out Poston?

 

That's just one of the current 70/72 spoilers, it's just a terrible piece that doesn't fit, i put one on few weeks ago,.. unfortunately

 

Agreed. Just offering it up for anyone wanting to do the work to make fit there 68/69' on the ends.

 

I bet the pedestals would fit the 68/69 trunklid much better
