The stepchild nation text is the key to the joke!!! When are they gonna be available? wow this thread is 5 pages now. :beer
Steve, #2 with the tri-shield logo is the one for me!! Are we doing these through zazzle? Can you make that one avaialble? Thanks!!
They're all available as of last night. You just need to go to the link at http://tinyurl.com/2qpl7s and click Image Gallery View in the tabs in the upper right hand corner. Look at the ones there and figure out the one that you like. Then click back to the File List View and click on the .PNG version with that filename. It will bring you to a window to download that file. Download it and then go to zazzle.com and go to the 'Create' link arrow and select 'Custom T-shirt' and continue to follow the directions for uploading an image to put on it. Select front or back (depending on where you want the image) and start choosing type/color of shirts, etc... Essentially you get to decide which you want, what it looks like, and you could probably add some basic text to it also. I'm just providing the image to use to customize your own shirt. They often have discounts for multiple item purchases, etc... Also you can do a Google search for "zazzle coupon code" and possibly find some checkout codes for additional savings, etc... But everything is there for you to do it yourself. I could set everything up, and 'publish' them. I think I get money for each purchased that way - but that wasn't my point of doing this. I'm here to help out "the children" (step, that is...).
I give back however I can...:bglasses: Since I've had a 66 Skylark, a 71 GS455, a 72 GS350, and my current 72 Custom455 - it only seemed appropriate and in the spirit of giving...
I just ordered mine from zazzle. Lots of options and easy to use. Anybody else order yet?? Thanks Steve!
You're welcome. I hope they look as good as you want. Some colors may not work as well - especially showing the trishield (which was purposefully made fainter than the rest of the picture). I'm wondering how black would work in that situation. I can also make a version where the trishield is at full strength, although that may overwhelm the rest of the car images. I've offered before - if anyone wants me to do one of these for their specific car, I can work on that too. I just need a good - hi resolution image to work from. I can also make it less of a photograph and more of a 'cartoon' style image with less colors too.
Here's a page with some Zazzle coupon codes (they often change and expire over time): http://www.savings-center.com/store/Zazzle
The black shirts didn't work well unless you clicked on the advanced button and unchecked the box, that in turn, makes your image opaque. I got a gray ringer tee that turned out nice.
I think that this whole effort allows us to add a "Stepchild Nation" to our signatures. Kind of like the Wildcat boys and their W.O.T. Do I have any followers???? 68 -69 guys unite !!
I liked it so much I went out and found another '68 B@#%&*d Stepchild. This one is a '68 Harley Sprint SS 250! I was reading a web site about them that stated they were the "Ba*#$@d Stepchild of a real Harley-Davidson." I had to buy it after reading that!
OK, apparently we can't use the Buick logo on the shirts. See the response from zazzle ..... I guess that's good to know. Then the only shirts I loaded up that could be used are my first and second ones (known as Shirt 02.png and Shirt 03.png). Shirt 03.png is the same as Shirt 06.png, but minus the tri-shield logo. I wonder if they're OK with "Buick" being in the design. I could always do something like the American flag in the background in place of the tri-shield logo...
