You should've grabbed that whole 8.2 with the trailering 3.91 ratio I sold to Steve. That was a GM gearset. Maybe he'll sell it back to you? (Packerbacker)
Thanks! Even 4.30 is pushing the limits of what I'm trying to achieve. 3.91 would be optimal. Curious though as to the rear's origins.
Dan , I have a gear set (3.91 ) that I bought to use in the Sportwagon but went with a 12 bolt 4.10 setup . GM #'s or casting # on the pinion is 1231470 (11) and the ring gear is 1382746 (43). There is a part # in the parts book but only for 69 -70 and doesn't match either . Bill
