I rounded this up, thinking i was doing a Skylark conversion...too much other stuff.

THe hump and ring is the early chevelle that everyone uses and the boot is a used CUTLASS bench seat no console...which i understand is very close to the original buick...that has a rip in a fold, but in the car ya cant see it, it would be in the dash direction, not the seat direction...ive had good luck welding the rips up with a wood burner or soldering iron...believe it or not..lol...driver stuff here...CHEAP...i have pedals on anoither listing...

    Hello Mark,
I recently discovered a good way to fix a split in a rubber part, any rubber
part. I was told this by a restoration shop in North Carolina, Hinshaws
    Chevelle.
Get some "Dip-it", the stuff used for dipping the handles of a tool in, leaves a
plastic or rubber film on whatever you put it on. I bought it from Summit
Racing. Needs to be stirred well before use. On the boot I would put several
coats on the inside with a brush. I imagine a piece of mesh could be used in
there also to reinforce it some.
I taped a piece of broken rubber back in place, left the tape, dipped it 3
times. It was well fixed and very tough.

    Best wishes,
    Mike
