I am looking to buy a set of 68-72 Sill Plates for my Skylark. I want an original set, no repros and no New GM ones. The originals have the "Body by Fisher" emblem riveted on and not glued like the repros or New GM's.
I would like a set in exceptional condition, I would prefer a NOS set, but will settle for an original set in amazing condition. Any help appreciated on this, thanks. :beer

Andrew, I have to run by the shop this a.m. to check on a set of 71 tailight lens for Tom so I'll see if I can come up with a decent set of sills. I've got several parts cars so it's a strong possibility.

Andrew, Best solution will be to buy new GM & add the rivets to the emblems. Been going that route since the mid 90's. It's correct way if building cutting edge concours car.

Unfortunately, used, these sill mldings are easily scuffed. For last 7 years I've had a 6,000 mile original '72 2 door Lux LeMans mothballed. It was lightly rolled in late '72, & put away in a garage & never correctly repaired. Slowly using the Lux LeMans as a partscar & chassis detailing example for two of my HO cars. Even this 6,000 mile original car, parked in a garage since early '73, had lightly scuffed alum rocker sill mldgs, just a little better than ones out of hundreds of other '68-72 A-bodys & '69-72 GrandPrixs I've parted. Hope this helps, got to run.
