Been waiting to see how they came out! nice work, is there anyway you can have them stay lit after they all go for just a tad longer.
    Nice work though!

This one of two threads currently active showing sequential taillights ( the other on a '65 GS). Both look great and seem to run at the same speed. Are these kits or home built? I'm guessing they'd work just as well on a '70? If these are kits where do you get them and, if not, when do you start producing them?!

    You have the 6-bulb system.
Back in 2005 I bought a system like that for a car with 8-bulbs.
I was planning to use it on my 1973 Riviera (converted from 4 to 8 bulbs brake/indicators).

I still need to pick up one more digital flasher, I only bought one for the turn signals. A normal old "bi-metallic" flasher wont work with LED's since they dont draw many amps. The digital flasher was like $9.00

It wasn't a kit really. I bought the sequential tail modules off Ebay for $45 ( that's a pair, one for each side) they are about the size of a pack of matches. Then I took my lenses and CAREFULLY cut and popped out the white back up lenses, they are just glued in from the factory. I took a spare tail light I had and cut out matching parts (using the old reverse lenses as a pattern) and shaped them to fit in perfectly with sand paper and some patience. Then glued them into the lenses. I bought 6 BRIGHT red LED's with 1157 bases on them. Then removed the 1156 reverse sockets and replaced them with 1157 sockets (about $3.00 each) Then pop in the bulbs, run all the new wiring to each socket, also have to run a new wire right from the brake switch to the sequential module and cut the old brake light wire and pop in the digital flasher. the whole thing took about 4-6 hours (counting in the necessary beer time)

These are all links to the exact parts I used, the only difference is I bought it all off Ebay.

I also used these in the front turn signals, they are white with the driving lights on, but flash amber when using turn signals. http://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-57-SMD-Bi-Color-Switchback-Signal/dp/B008C9CZ2W

Nope that's the only speed, all the electronics are sealed in a small package the size of a match book.

Thanks, I luv it! I spent a week looking through OLD factory paint books trying to find just what I wanted. Its a old blue that was used by Ford actually.

I was wondering what happened to the back up lights in the lenses when I first looked at this. For a minute I was confused. I thought the 68/69s both had them in the tail lights. Now I see what you did there. That is a really cool idea! :TU: Good job with the lights by the way!

You can buy a kit to fit 70-72 "A" body cars from Spaghetti Engineering. We had a group buy on here in the early spring I think it was. A kit for both sides was about $100.00 maybe a little more if I remember right. I bought a set for my '72 but haven't gotten around to putting them in yet. Do a search on the board here, there are some videos of cars with them installed. Mike D.

What happens to the reverse light? Is it red when used as a flasher and then turns white when in reverse? Is that a different light to purchase?

Cool.:cool: I think they are illegal here in Australia. Not even sure that red indicators are legal- my 'lark has amber bulbs in the reversing lights.

I'd like to have those sequentials, but I think they'd be too confusing to dumb*** camry drivers.

Nice work- the whole car, not merely the lights.
