68 GS Grill Color

I need some help in painting my 68 gs grill. what is the correct color to use? I have seen them black and what i think may be argent. my orginal grill looks like a faded argent. thanks for the help.

The surround is argent. (Not the chrome surround, but the horizontal part of the bottom front of the grill and up the sides.) The actual "grill" is black

 

thanks for the help. mine may have been repainted at some time because it is just the opposite, grill is argent and the surrounding area is satin black.

 

The "Custom" grill is gray/argent (picture) , and I always saw black ones on GS

 

The 68 GS version is black in the center areas, but the outside part of the grille is silver/argent color.
