I built this 68 skylark special deluxe. Its supposed to have a L6, but it was changed to a Buick 350. The car is dropped 2'' in the front and 1'' in the back. It has a 8 point roll cage, with 2 tenzo racing buckets and a herst pistol quarter stick shifter.

Here's another pic for u guys. I dont really know the specs on the 350 but its up there ... I stayed up on the burnout pad at the 2003 summer nationals (worcester, MA) for about a minute. I was in second gear at 4000 rpm's doing about 65 mph. i went through a little more than half of my brand new tires.

    question

I dont have any newer pics right now. I havent finished painting the hood yet so when im done that, (hopefully next week) i should have some more pictures then. If you want to see pics of the building process, i have some of those.

Anyone know what the back spacing is for a 16'' rim that is 8'' wide ???

    8 inch rim

Joshua, I had 16 X 8 with 4 3/4 inch back spacing on my 68 with a 255-50 16 and they fit perfect. With more back spacing you can get more tire under the fender.:TU:
