I've investigated the gas gauge problem that I have in my '68 wagon. I disconnected the hot lead wire near the tank and then grounded the tan wire to the frame. The dash gas gauge does go to "EMPTY".This means that the gauge is good. I also reworked the sending unit ground wire near the tank.This only leaves the sending unit itself at fault. How difficult is it to change or test the sending unit on the stationwagon gas tank?I do know that the previous owner did drop and clean out the tank. Any help with this problem will be appreciated. John
