I have a Qjet number 7029241 which is the correct carb for a 69 Riv 430. I found it on a 350 in a 68 or 69 Jeep. I want to put it on a stock 71 350. Would this be okay to use or should I look for the correct 350 carb? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,

The jetting is specific for the application and more importantly the air circuits are calibrated for a larger 430 CID engine. If you want it to be perfect right away with little tuning then find an original 750 cfm 71-73 Q jet from a Buick 350. I bolted a NOS 73 Q jet on my 73 Century and it hauled ass without tuning.

However if you read the Cliff Ruggles book about the Q jet then you can customize any Q jet to work for you combo.
