I think the only parts you can buy now are the rubber boot and the mounting bolt + bracket. I do seem to remember reading somewhere about someone rebuilding one, but I can't remember where I saw that! Repro are probably Chinese with slightly different internal dimensions. They want the $ for the whole thing, not 20.00 for a rebuild kit.
Thanks Frank, any idea where I can get the boot? It's all cracked and soft. The internals looked OK, but I'd perfer to replace all the rubber parts, it would be an easy rebuild (If I could find the parts).
I think Inline Tube sells the boot. You might have to look in the Olds catalog to find it. Ames probably has it, too.
How about one of these, http://www.ebay.com/itm/69-Factory-...t=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr
Yea, I might be forced that way, shame since it's maybe $10 worth the rubber parts to rebuild it. If they are building new ones, someone is making the parts for them?
check with the chevelle owners on the site below. i believe that the the '69 chevelle probably uses the same setup. http://www.chevelles.com/forums/
Well, I found the boot: http://www.ss396.com/mm5/merchant.m...no&Product_Code=FPV-BOOT&Category_Code=VALVES 69 Buick Service Manual says it's not serviceable, so if it leaks I guess I have no other choice other than replace it. Thanks everyone, looks like another part that made of unobtainiumo No:
Have a look here: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?254762-1967-1969-A-Body-Metering-Valve-Rebuild-Kit
Oh...good deal, nice to know someone has the kit. The boot inline has INL 10932 is in the Olds catalog, it says 1971-77, so I don't know if it would help.
