Car is for sale locally as well, Metro west Boston, MA. For Sale – 1969 Buick Skylark (GS Clone) show and go $ 18,500 all parts included. Big block Buick 455 – pump gas motor – 600 plus dyno’d horsepower – T400 – Ford 9” rear end Same meticulousness owner for the past 26 years of a solid rust free CA car driven to East Coast in 1985. I purchased this car originally to use for parts for my original 69 skylark GS but the body was so solid I decided to install my GS driveline and parts into the skylark instead. The car has been garaged kept for last 26 years and driven in only nice weather. The car was painted in 1990 corvette red in lacquer paint. The front clip was removed in 2003 and the entire engine bay, inner fenders , frame and radiator support painted black. Typical radiator support rust was repaired professionally before painting. New griffan alu radiator, dual electric fans and electric trans fan added. All new suspension was installed and painted. New manual disc brakes with dropped spindles installed up front with all new brakes lines and rubber front to rear (approx. 6K invested). The car had a major makeover in 07 with a new Stage 2 big block Buick engine built professionally by AMP. This was built with all new engine parts from TA performance. New stage 2 alu heads were full race ported by AMP, block girdle, jet hot coated headers and TA 308 solid cam. The transmission/converter were built professionally by Tri Shield to withstand the stage 2 motor. Tri Shield also treated the outside of the stage 2 heads and intake to make the alu stay shiny and appear new instead of oxiding. The engine still looks new today and is super easy to wipe clean any grease, fuel or oil. This new eng trans combo has been kept in heated garage since birth. The electric water pump, fuel pump, dual coolant fans, msd ignition are wired to run in auto mode or manual by using the dash mounted switch panel. The heater/ac have been removed from the car and most of the wiring for this car is mounted on the inside firewall where the heater used to be. I should have all parts except the AC compressor to convert back if desired. The battery has been relocated to the trunk and a new sumped fuel tank was installed along with an electric fuel pump to feed the new motor. Rick’s custom fabrication (http://www.rickscustomfabrication.com) built a custom frame around the Griffon aluminum radiator to support the dual electric coolant fans and electric cooled transmission fan. They also installed the following. 6 point roll bar Custom shifter insert for the outlaw shifter with integrated line loc button Custom polished door handles Polished alu spacer/ wheel stud centering rings for the weld rear drag lites rims Custom 3" unboltable exhaust, no u-bolts used from headers back Set up the ford 9” rear gears. The rear seat has not been modified for fitment of the roll bar. The rear end is a stock width ford 9” rear end and the rear wheel wells have not been modified. Complete HRPartsNStuff antiroll bar, adjustable uppers, boxed lowers and custom drive shaft were also installed. Moroso springs, air bags and competition engineering rear shocks. Despite the obvious sound of the big cam this car drives super easy and smooth down the road as long as your okay with manual steering (have parts to convert back ). The paint is starting to have some issues due to it’s age but still looks great for 21 years of age. Still presentable at car shows but needs a repaint to be a trophy winner. The rare fiberglass replica of the 69 GS hood that was painted with the car has spider cracking on it. It currently has on a primered stage 2 hood that I put on with the new engine. The front GS grill is a beautiful repo from the V8buick.com website. The black interior looks great with freshly reupholstered 68 low back seats (sand blasted frames, painted and new foam). RCI quick release cam 5 point racing harness on both front seats (even my kids use with ease. Unfortunately due to the economy I need to sell. My future plans were to repaint the car including all the hoods I have. These include a stock metal GS hood, fiberglass replica 69 GS hood, fiberglass stage 2 hood and a stock skylark hood. That way with a change of the hood and wheels I could change the look of the car from stock with dog dish, or Buick factory mags or weld draglites. I built this car with the intention of occasional drag racing with the Buick clubs and attending car shows. The car was built to show and go and draws lots of attention where ever it goes. It has never been raced and the new engine/trans have very few hours on them and have not been abused. Have all receipts going back to 1985 and numerous pictures. For the right buyer will also include all spare parts acquired over the years including several 455's disassembled blocks hot tanked. Also have complete running 455/350 with kennebell roller rockers/mallory distributor/ignition combo/hooker headers that was in this car before the new engine/drive train/suspension work was done. You could easily pull the current drive train for another car and install my older combo. Please don't contact me for part or motor sales, only offered to buyer of car. Thanks Greg
Re: 69 skylark GS Clone Greg- sorry to hear you're selling the car. Just had enough or ?. Hope all is well!
Re: 69 skylark GS Clone Thanks George, Need for kids College funds. I was hoping it would not come to this but the economy is killing my other resources. Later Greg

TTT. Close to 15K spent alone in new TA motor parts and the boys at AMP for machine work, race head porting, assembly and dyno. Beafed up T400/converter by Tri Shield for this motor.
Open to reasonable offers guys. A few people have been interested in driveline only and others car with no drivetrain. I don't have the time to be involved in that. Car will be off market soon so last chance on a killer combo with low hours and a bunch of motors and parts. ---------- Post added at 03:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:05 PM ---------- This was on Mike's website at AMP after the motor was dyno'd.
