Marc.... PM'd you with PP details on the hood grilles. AND, I was at storage unit just now, located TWO different BUT ORIGINAL pinchweld trims... one is 68-69 Vert, the other is 70-72. I DO NOT KNOW which cars had the wider trims, Custom? GS? or?? however, the "wider trim" appears a lil shorter... Either way, I am head'n to the PO tomorrow to ship your parts, and I will ask the best way to ship these, so you can have an idea of costs... Wheelz, Tampa Bay
I see two different types? I believe mine is the bottom one in the close up picture. If you can figure out the shipping issue let me know how much. Thanks. M.
Yes. The one I need is the bottom one. With the little pinched end. Let me know how shipping works out when you get a chance. Have a good weekend. And thanks. M.
Not to hijack, but the left one in the middle photo is different from the super common pinched style AND the style I mentioned and posted a photo of. I wonder what it’s from? (Squint at my photo-it has a dogleg like the pinched ones, yours has no dogleg). Patrick
So much to learn. I really am enjoying this part of the process. Thank you all very much. Good weekend to all. M.
Marc.... stopped by my local USPS and took this trim in with me. The clerk measured. REmeasured. Measured some more. . .tried to override the computer several times to come up with a less expensive shipping but the 'programmed' dimensional size would not allow manual changes...so, this is what we've come up with: Dimensional size of roughly 3x36x36, shipping equates to $59.64. Since this trim you want is just driver quality with a few minor dings and, they will definitely need a good polishing, how about this deal: $159.64 SHIPPED! Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Patrick, I am not sure WHAT its from or WHY I have that other trim... no idea since I've been restoring mostly Buick cars for 50+ years. . . however, I did have a few Cougars, GTX's and others too.... Maybe from one of those cars?? ... there are no part numbers on these trims to reference or checkum out... Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Are the dings something that can be hammered out and then polished? I have someone who can do it, but if the dings are sharp they don't always go away. Most of my experience comes from restoring light fixtures, door hardware, etc in my business. Thanks, Marc.
I am pretty sure I am in, just waiting to hear back on the dings. Hood grilles arrived safe and sound. Thanks for the little bonus. Pretty cool. Have a good day, Marc.
Marc, the dings are minor... appears someone kinda pounded them with their fist to snap them into place.... no real sharp dingages. They should polish up nice... Glad you like the "Little Bonus".... Wheelz, Tampa Bay
