First off I would love to know some of your restoration details and secondly finding a 69 grill in have descent shape for under $500 DOLLARS IS LIKE FINDING A NEEDLE IN A HAY STACK. I paid $525 dollars two years ago after looking for two years. They are extremely hard to find.Looking foward on insight into grill refurbishing.Curtis

    Curtis,
Unless I am wrong, the prices Dave listed in his above post are what he charges to refurbish a grill that is sent to him. This does not include the cost of the grill itself. That was why I had around $700.00 in the 69 grille when it was finished.

    69GS400s ...my own amusement ride!

I thought you guys would get a kick out of that picture.....and it doesn't include the NOS one sitting on the front of my car.....or the couple that are in many pieces as parts doners (Some in the picture are beyond fixing too....)

Thats the sum total of basically buying Grilles that needed repair and weren't rediculously priced over an 8 year period and I haven't bought one in at least 3-4 years......paid some good money for some of them too....upwards of $500 for a damaged grille that wasn't usable as is

Why ?? because I figured they'd never get repro'd with 70, 71, and 72 being many times more popular, and I figured Id do as Dave is.....spend alittle time on them, make a little scratch, and make someone happy by getting a nice grille onto the front of their car.

......just seems the time has been the only thing lacking so Dave !! We need to talk !!!

I WANT you guys to have Nice repaired grilles on the front of your cars Too !! where they belong

I want to get these out of storage.....and lastly.....I could use the money thats tied up in them. If they were NOS maybe it would have been an "investment" thing.....If I had the time to do them myself maybe then too.....but Its not going to happen

So ?? You guys that need a grille.....Look at Duanes post above, and the picture of that beautifully restored grille, and take into consideration his knowledge of all things Buick and the fact that his estimation of "$900 is a bargain"

    .....and Speak up !!

Im sure Dave and I....and you can come to an agreement. If not ....:Do No:

Rixter - Seriously....best of luck getting the one on Ebay. I Promise you I wont be bidding on it:TU:

69 GS correct color Grill Paint

Dave69....can you tell me what the correct colors are for the 69 GS grill? I know that you have yours custom made from PPG but are there colors close to the correct colors in a spray can? If not could you describe them? They look like a semi-metalic gray with silver accents. Are just the port holes silver with the leading edge of the center bar and the upper bar? I don't want to take any business away from you but I was just trying to decode the posted picture. :beer
