Ive purchased an original '69 GS hood w/original paint still on it. Im wondering why there isn't an engine designation on it. Is this common? Or was it an option? Thanks for whatever. -Chris
It was probably from a California GS they had no engine size on the hoods all others did uzzled: IF I remember correctly Ken
Does it have holes for the pins on the badges to go into the hood. I have a 69 that had 350 on both sides I purchased the 455 badges and put them on. I've also seen the stage 1 badge in this area. do you have the air induction air cleaner for it. :3gears:
No, there arent any holes, thats why i was curious and yes I was GIVEN the air cleaner when I bought the hood, guy said "Oh well you may as well take this with I wont need" I love a cool car person!
GS California- no emblems= no holes. 69 GS 350 had '350' emblems 69 GS 400 had '400' emblems (same pin distance than the 350 hood). 69 GS 400 Stage 1 had 'Stage 1' emblems- wider pin distance. Nice find on the hood!
The Original Parts Group has every emblem you could need. You can order a catalog free at www.opgi.com or call them at 1-800-243-8355. It's the best catalog I've seen for all the misc. things you need.
