69 GS...which color???

Have '69 GS all stock with Verde Green/black vinyl top ext. and Pearl interior. It needs to be painted and I am having a hard time deciding on whether to keep original color or go with a color I like. I don't plan on keeping car for life. Would the value be hurt with a different color or would a disirable color offset? Was thinking going with Aqua Mist.

I know I'd offer a grand less for a repainted car that wasn't in the original color.

But that's just me.

 

None original color would considerably reduce the value

 

Wow, I had no idea! I didn't know '69's were that collectible that originality was a big factor. Figured I would have to paint a popular color to get any interest.

Maybe I will stick with original color.

Its not that 69s were THAT collectible, its that way with any car, originality = $$. You do whatever you like best. My car was originaly black with a painted while roof. I didnt want to drive around in a 69 GS that looked like a police car. so I installed a black vinyl top.

 

Paint it anything but Fire Glow Orange. :laugh: :laugh:
