This car is beyond repair. The VIN and Cowl tags are gone...probably stuck on some cutlass H/O clone.

    Adam,
If that is a real Hurst Olds, that is pretty sad.
Now what really intrigues me is the wagon behind it. Is that a 68-69 Special wagon? And is the drivers 1/4 good!
    :eek2:
Sure could use some pieces for my newly aquired "El Rusto".

I am retarded when it comes to the wagons, so I'll describe it as best I can.

I didn't really get a good look at the quarters...I was more interested in scrounging around the interior for hidden gems. It has 3 portholes on the front fender. Is that a distinguishing factor? It also says something on the left rear quarter. It's an emblem but I can't remember what it says. Maybe Custom or Limited?

I figured there would be some interest in that wagon...so I left it in the picture. I didn't realize I had it in the shot, otherwise I would've taken notes on it's shape.

Sounds like a 69 Special or Special Deluxe wagon. It would have 3 port holes.
I was just wondering. Shipping would likely be expensive to NY here.
Car doesn't look too bad, especially if the 1/4's are decent.

    Thanks,

Man I love those cars..... what a shame...

It looks like it had some sort of decal on the door, I wonder what it could have been.

It kind of looks like what a magnetic sign would do to the paint if you left it there too long w/o cleaning it. I noticed it and for a while I thought it was the Indy decals that the 72's had. But, obviously, the 69's weren't pace cars.:Dou:

Mark....Id definately say 69 special wagon by the chrome on the "C" pillar ( behind the rear door.....at the base of the pillar where the qtr. starts) and the Qtr. looks kinda ok ???

BTW....I've got an NOS left side qtr, rear and front door skins:Brow:

Too bad you bought that RustoBucket as I've been contimplating selling mine:Do No:

    Alan,
I couldn't pass up this wagon. The price was right and it has near perfect rear door panels in the SAME color as my green wagon to replace the ones that "Hack the Knife" destroyed by putting rear speakers in it before I got it.:af:
Add to it that the new wagon has an original 3.23 posi that I have been looking for.
My first thoughts were to part the wagon, but it is a lot better than it looks.
Floor pan it good and everything works including a worked 350 with TA intake and hooker headers with only 600 miles on it since rebuild.
The real kicker is that it looks like it has only 47,000 mile on it. :eek2: Still has the original spiral shocks on the rear and not a lot of wear on the brake pedal pad and the front seat.
Has the standard rust in the 1/4's, front fenders and minor rad support.
R/H 1/4 is nice in the tire well and only the wheel well has rust.
Maybe we should talk about the nos 1/4. :Brow:
