    Duane,
On page #11 , post #204 , you posted a picture of a handwritten chart detailing headlight bucket position. Would this chart also work for a 70 Skylark?

Oh, been following along, now I got a hankering for a stepchild of my own. Beautiful job , you and your crew of merry men are doing. Jim

Well , after using the search tool, I found this post from 2007.
So even thou I answered my own question, YOU still answered it....lol Jim

Yeah I think the headlight bucket placement would work on all 68-72 Buick A-bodies. The different buckets use the bosses built into the back of the HI/Low headlights to "clock" them at the correct angles so the original "T3 triangles line up.

As far as the history, we have no record/info of whether it was a strip or street racer but the car does have something like 90,000 miles on it. I do remember Jimmy telling me he asked the guy he bought it from how it ran and in the guy's words said, "The car would just $hit and get." Personally I believe it was a Street Racer. Maybe once it's put together I can find some time to dig up more history. I did find 2 copies of the previous owners registration or insurance cards, so I do have somewhere to start.

After personally walking around this car for 35 years the main goal was to get it together and get Jimmy to drive it. After keeping it all these years he deserves it.

Being that there were original Stage 2 parts with the car when purchased, and some Motion parts, we are doing it up as a 69 Stage 2 car with additional Motion pieces. You will see what I mean once the engine/front clip starts going together.

Anyway here are some pics Nick sent today. The dash is almost all put together. Just need to put the Motion & Hurst Equipped emblems back on the dash pad and install the radio. It came with an AM, and that's what's going back in. The Sun Gauges also need to be installed and the Consolette is not installed yet, but is just sitting there. You can see the 8 Grand tach in the consolette.

Nick is doing a fantastic job with assembly.
    Enjoy.

Here is a close-up pic of the tach before I cleaned it up. You might not believe it, but the chrome on the tach bezel cleaned up so nice it looked brand new. Wish we could still get chrome like that today.

I hope you have the correct Sun WTS-250 water temp sender. That sender is way expensive!

    Jason,
I don't know what senders I have. Might need to find one. Are you still going to Cecil? I figured the answer was no.

Yeah, doesn't look good as far as the weather. Still holding out hope though.

I have those Sun blue line gauges in the beater. The original Sun water senders are like $250. They make a "repro" sender that Im using in my car. That one was $150 but the gauge reads a little off. Reads too warm. I have to connect my Auto Meter back on the car compare the two side by side. Funny, the repro I was sold says "AC" on it so Im guessing someone found a GM sender that works with the Sun water temp gauge but they're keeping the AC part number a secret.

I found the pic Jimmy gave me showing a 69 Buick at Motion. I don't think it's my car but it has a bunch of Firebirds in front of the shop. Don't know what vintage it is either as I don't know what year the birds are. The birds have USA-1 plates on them.

That's a mix of '74 and '75. No markers are '74, one with markers in the grille is a '75.

Regardless of the actual year the pic was taken, it certainly shows that Motion worked on more then just Chevvies.:D

Duane what makes you think that 69 is not yours in the background? There's no chance it could be at that dealership at that time? I realize it would have been done years earlier but still. How many 69 Buicks would ever be sitting at Motion Dealer.
