I picked up a set of Weld Racing Prostar wheels with tires mounted. The rear wheels are 15x8 w/ P295/50R15 tires mounted. Will these fit up in the well without making any mods to the wheel wells since the 69 has a low rear fender? :Do No:
I hope they fit cuz they are big and would look nasty.:3gears: If they're too big, would it be alot of work to get them to fit and what would it take? I'd like to keep the chrome on if possible...
    Thanks for the help!!!

Maybe close if you have about 5 - 5 1/2" backspace but anything less is a no go for sure. What is the section width of the tires ?
I'm running a 12 1/2" section width on mine with 5 1/2" backspace it is close on the inside. 5 inch backspace is where you want to be on a 68-69 to be perfectly centered.

The backspacing is 4 3/4. How will that affect the fit?
    Thanks Todd!

It will be close on the outside lip for sure, only one way to find out. Good Luck , will look sweet if they fit.

Todd's right 4 3/4" is gonna require some trimming on the outer lip, or for you to be running air shocks/bags with the rear up aways. Also agree that on 68/69 with 8" wide rear wheel that 5" to 5 1/4" backspacing is about as good as it gets. I run 5" of backspace with a 275 tire and have great clearance.

    Tire time

Thanks again Todd and you too Len!
If this is going to b the case with the tire fit being too close for comfort, I suppose going down a notch on the tire size will be the best cure for my anticipated problem...Right?
    Let me know...
    Thanks again, both of you!:beer

If you've already got them then bolt them on and try, you may just skim it in there. Doesn't cost anything to try.
A 275-50 will work if you do have to step down a size.
