Here goes, let me see if I can list everything about this car. I am selling, or attempting to sell my 69 Skylark convertible. Now, there are a bunch of pics, but what lies underneath the paintjob and bodywork are what make this car worth the price. The frame and undercarriage are prefect. The car came from California before it came to CT about 2 years ago. No rust anywhere on the frame, floors, radiator support, inner wheel wells, around the windshield, cowl area... all 100 percent rust free. The car itself is a good driver the way it is. The engine is a 69 GS 350 4bbl motor that runs great. The trans is a t-350 and shifts very nicely. Not sure of the rear gear, but I can count it if anyone wants to know. Its NOT a limited slip rear. For options, the car has power disk brakes, cruise control(works well), and A/C that worked when I bought the car. The top is power and works well. No leaks and goes up and down smoothly. The top appears to have been replaced and is in very good shape. The top mechanism is rust free as well. The car comes with a good running 73 455, frame brackets, and a short shaft turbo 400, Bucket seats and brackets(driver side power), driver and passenger side repro quarter panels, a very nice driver door, and a spare set of wheel opening mouldings. So the car does need some body work as you can see in the pics. The rear quarters have bodywork in them, thus the reason for the repro quarters. The drivers door had a bad door skin job at one point and it coming apart. The rest of the car is super solid. The front fenders, passenger door and the trunklid are all in great shape. Floors and trunk floor are virgin and don't have any rust whatsoever. The interior needs work was redone in fabric at some point. This is a super project car with all the big pieces needed to make it super nice. Car is located in South Windsor CT, and can be seen and driven anytime. Asking price is $10,000.00. I'm just going to keep refreshing this every day until one of you guys breaks down and buys this car. I guess if it was rusty and 5 grand, it would have sold by now. Little to no rust here people.. its screaming for a paint job and interior. For under 10 grand you can have the cleanest 69 around. Bob
I have been looking at this car for some time now. Hey man,,,, Really nice car.... But at this time i can only come up with 6K. And i do not want to insult you with that offer. But if it is still around in three months from now i will give you a shout. I am very suprised that some one has not jumped on it. I think it's just a bad time of year.
