Nice color too... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1969...ewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item3eff0b1a71
If it wasnt for the seats telling me, I wouldnt have any idea what kind of car that was. And that dash and those kick panels put my shrink wrapping skills to shame.
I must confess, I have been seriously considering replacing my Stage 1's engine with a Chevy 350, but I have to draw the line at the Incredible Hulk interior. Not a bad looking car before the paint job though.
Ahh, Kermit theeeee Frog here reporting on the super rare Tree Frog Green Buick GS and a 350 Stage 1 Chevy by Buick ...
is it necessary to make fun ? are your houses the finest in your town ? how expensive are your clothes ? can you turn water into wine ? did you all go to Harvard ? next time you get the urge to ridicule, look in the mirror. unless the guy intentionally misleads others, you shouldn't be so eager to cast aspersions. this kind of thing pisses me off. it was his car to do with as he pleased. don't bid if you don't want it. nothing in the listing reveals the seller to deserve the mocking, even if he isn't aware of it.
Well.....thankfully this guy does appear to be INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING others (that car is no "Stage 1"). So I guess we can be "eager to cast aspersions." Thank you for giving us an "out."
The VIN is 44437. It's not even a GS 400, no less a Stage 1. This ain't the place to try to stifle free speech. Lighten up. You gotta admit it's green as all hell isn't it?
How do you know that he knows otherwise ? besides, people are quick to mock colors, chevy motor, etc even when there's no misrepresentation.
Can't argue that logic! While I don't care for the interior myself, Call me weird, but I kinda like the green paint. Never would've done it myself, but seeing it on there... Makes me wonder how it would look on my '66. 'Course, I'd buy a die-cast and paint that first!:bla:
I guess the bottom line is sometimes people get brutal with their criticisms, I agree. Over the years I've learned to mellow a bit. But when you misrepresent a car it kind of opens things up. Tell you what, I'm glad we have this board to help steer us clear from potention sheisters. There's been a lot of heartache avoided because of people on this board. I do get your point sort of, but it's not like anyone's criticizing the guy's family. If you wanna hold someone accountable for criticizing, email the-people-of-walmart guy. I think he makes a living at it.
Hey, it's O.K., guys. Were good. Go ahead and cast those aspersions ... were alright. I looked it up: Main Entry: as•per•sion Pronunciation: \ə-ˈspər-zhən, -shən\ Function: noun Date: circa 1587 1 : a sprinkling with water especially in religious ceremonies 2 a : a false or misleading charge meant to harm someone's reputation <cast aspersions on her integrity> b : the act of making such a charge 3 : utilizing a bright, booger green paint job on a car listed for sale in a effort to distract, dismay and cause mental distress to a potential Buyer when material misrepresentations about said vehicle are present and facially apparent.
The original post was done to highlight another Buick being misrepresented and to help prevent someone from being screwed. Nothing personal against the guy other than the fact that he's a lying sack of s*&t. I asked him if the car is a real Stage 1 and he responded that indeed it is. Can't say anything about his house or clothes. Just hope they're not the same color as his car.
Sorry but when someone puts something like that up on a public forum, misrepresents it as a Stage 1, and has a "Buy it now" price of 8500.00...one cannot be expected not to cast aspersions. :bla:
