anyone know where i can find a wiring diagram that is from or will work for a 69 Wildcat?

Also, does anyone know why my brake lights and flashers dont work together?

more info might be nice huh.

I bought the car, with about 50,000,000 extra feet of wire in it.

It had 2 batteries, one which did nothing, and alot of wired that just end or twirl around :D

i removed most of the wires, kind of working my way forward, and iver made it to the dash, taken it off, and removed most of the wires from it.

the main/stock starter wire was cut off, left there, and another was run in a different area.

The wires from my starter, which i have no clue what they do, run forward, in front of the engine block, slong the valve covers to the back of the block, and just basically do their own thing.

i think the previous owner re-wired the car on his own.

It had an isolator, but with one battery it should be pointless.
i should take some pictures and post then, and i will sooner or later.

to my knowledge, the larger wire from the alternator goes to the isolator, splices and goes to an ampere gauge in my dash.

The second post of the ampere gauge goes to the isolator.

so the alternator is on the gauge, which has a very inconsistent reading.

also to my knowledge, the isolator runs the headlights, because i cut one of the isolator/alternator wires on accident, and the headlights stopped working.

also ( ) the wires for the headlights go to some 20 amp fuses, and then each headlight has its own relay, making my engine compartment look like...well a wiring spaghetti or something of the sort.

anyway i can bypass any of this ugly stuff to pretty up my engine compartment?

Private message me if you need more info.

    Thanks

all of the pictures are too big so:

The isolator has 4 posts set up in a T pattern.

    like this:

    1
    2 3 4

The alternator and headlights are hooked up to post 1, post 4 goes to the ampere gauge, posts 2 and 3 are unused.

one wire on post 1 goes to the alternator, the other goes to a little block of 4 20 amp fuses, which in turn branches out to 4 seperate wires, one per headlight.

Each one of thosewires travels up under the radiator corssbar to 4 individual relays, one per headlight.

then from the relays the wires go to the headlights, which are aftermarket halogen headlights.

The stock headlight sockets are still in the car.

i am wondering what i can do to get rid of this mess

Like i said, the ampere gauge doesnt read constant, its constantly jumping.

Does this seem like a sign that the alternator is bad? it looks nice and old.
