Well my search is over, just found a 2 door 69 wildcat that I've been searching dozens of years for:laugh: . Its been 2 hours away all along and just off the hiway and I've driven by it dozens of times( but couldn't see it for the trees). I had all but given up on a Northern Cat because of the rust. A huge thanks to Rivman Ed  (my new master), for finding this beauty and not keeping it for himself. I pick the car up tomorrow, taking my dad with me as he owned one similar to it back in the day, should bring a tear to his eye I hope....

Details...its a one owner car 2 door hardtop. The owners dad bought it new when he retired in 69 and had a winter home in Florida, hence no Ontario winters and little or no rust in all the typical rusty areas. It was rustchecked when new, and garage kept up till 3-4 years ago. It has original paint, and looks to have been never hit, with original painted pinstriping, black bench interior (no buckets or console although) but in very nice condition (no rips) ~80K for mileage, basically no options, engine runs good i'm told, and the price was right, so thanks to all that helped me look on the board here under "cars wanted" section. I'm hoping things don't look to bad once on the hoist. One thing I've learned from doing this buick think, it helps to be an optomist when looking at the oldies.

Oh ya thanks to my wonderful wife that allowed me one more buick (the last one apparently) however it cost me a trip to take her to the Calgary Stampede next year, (she probably won't want to go in the buick) but its a small :dollar: to pay for a great car. Gord

Got the big CAt home, looks great, not the original paint but thats ok, all the sheet metal is and no big surprises, very happy with the car. It was alittle emotional for the family that had it but I assured them it would has going to a good home.

My wife and daughter didn't know what to expect but they didn't think it looked to bad, rally wheels and some Nano wax it'll be awsome,.....going to put it on the hoist and change the oil tomorrow, check it over good and try spark her up... it was a great day.

Frank I love the colour of your cat, I have to find the similar colour that came on the 69 wildcat. Unfortantly for some I will be changing the original colour from resale red to the yellow that was offered. Gordon
