Any ideas on how to fix, patch, weld rear frame rot without separating the chassis from the frame and doing a full restoration. I bought a 1969 Buick Wildcat 4 door for $500 to enter a rally from NY to New Orleans and don't want to put too much money into the car. There is a lot of rot between the rear bumper and the and the rear wheel on the frame rail (where the exhaust hanger bolts attach). Can an inexpensive patch be welded in without massive expense and time? Does anyone reproduce rear frame sections to be welded in?
