The new owner left his home at 8pm last night and showed up at 6 a.m. this morning, checked the car over, paid for it in a huge stack of greenbacks and then headed back to Wisconsin with it. 9 hour drive. DRIVING the Galaxie back. I assume all is going well as I have not had any phone calls filled with cursing and threats, Lol.

Congrats. What year Galaxie. I've always liked the 63-64 with a 4-speed.

Damn nice car, i have always been a Ford man and fond of the FE engines. I am surprised to see that had the 9 3/8ths rear or even that anyone knew what it was. I have had 2 of them in the past, both had 4.20 gears and came out of 1972 F-100 4X4's. Absolutely huge ring/pinion! Comparable to the D-60. The last one i had i cork screwed the pinion out the front of the 3rd member, destroyed the whole 3rd member and twisted both axles.

I am on the opposite end of the spectrum.... I have been owner/ part owner of 7 vehicles and I still own 3 of them.

I'm with you on that one, Rusty.
I'm only up to 10 Ford vehicles, and currently have 5 in the fleet.
